Fashion Show

This is the University’s most stylish, glamorous and biggest event of the year. The 2008 show, ‘A Night at the Movies’ sold out to an audience of over 850, showcasing fashion themed to eight differnet movies, including Moulin Rouge, James Bond and A Nightmare Before Christmas. As well as a catwalk spectacular, the show included break dancers, beat boxers, a champagne reception, massive after party and stalls featuring beauty therapy and Leeds local designer talent.

Last years show raised £6000 for charity, making it the city’s biggest and most exciting fashion show of the year.

As well as a great night out, the Fashion Show offers students a chance to get involved in union life and raise money for charity in a different and exciting way.

The Fashion Show was a huge amount of fun and created a lot of new friendships. It was extreamly rewarding for everyone involved and there was a great sense of achievement at the end when we gave a spectacular show, the biggest it has ever seen here.
Models, choreographers, directors, backstage staff, marketing staff, graphic designers and stylists were all picked from Leeds University students. If you want to get involved, look out for model auditions coming soon, or if you want to be part of the committee drop into the RAG office.
